Could someone please tell me, what is the thickness of the cork friction disk that goes on the lift quadrant on a TO20? Forgot to order one, I can find cork gasket material locally but I�m not sure how thick it should be. Thanks, Jack

I have use 1/8 cork to make friction disks for the throttle. So I'd agree that it should work for the quadrant contol.

While we are on the subject, what do you guys use to glue the disk on? I figured contact cement should work. Jack

Don"t glue it on. It just provides friction between the lever and the backing plate.

it was overtightened to increase the friction and the binder in the gasket probably cuased it to stick. Mine came apart and I was surprised the difference it made when I replced it. The control lever stayed where it was placed.

I measured my new disc and it is 0.180" so just a hair under 3/16"

Just a guess but it seems to me from waht I could remember it like 3/32". I don"t think the thickeness is all that critical because you can adjust the nut to get the correct tension.
