Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some information about a 14-AO-40 Ferguson plow Serial #7414. Is there anywhere to find info on these plows? Thanks for any help.

Jeff,

I picked up the plow toady. I'm very pleased with it. I'm in Marion, Ohio. Do you have digital copies of the plow book?
Thanks,

John(Ohio)

I just rebuilt a ferguson 2 bottom plow and spoke with Scott. He has all kinds of parts, and is very knowledgible on these plows. The bad part is that the parts he has seemed a bit pricey, as is all parts. Both of my coulters had worn out bushings, and it was going to be 60 plus dollars for each. I opted to rebuild the coulters and replace the original bushing setup with Allis Chalmers bearing off of a couple of plows that I had. Its not original but it looks very close, and it is functional.

John,

This plow is just around the corner from me. I have seen it and it looks good. Surface rust only.

The only real reference is the Ferguson Plow book and the parts book for the plows. I have copies of both.

BTW what part of the state are you in?

Jeff

Hi guys,
thanks for the info.
Richard, yeah I bought the plow. I couldn't resist getting a Ferguson plow for $175 to replace my 2 bottom 16" Dearborn plow. I've been watching the auctions (online and in person) but haven't seen many here of late.

Scott is the man to talk to. His # is 717-856-3414. He is a New Holand dealer. He has parts for the old plows. I think the ao-40 plows were sent to the dealers with no moldboards installed so you could get the moldboard you wanted for the area you lived in. Where as the ao-28 came moldboards installed from the factory.

I've found alittle imfo in the implement forum. I don't have any thing to help you with. I'm redoing 2-bottom fergy plow in shed right now and may need some help also. I'm missing a few parts and do have a couple phone numbers for them that I need to check on.

Hey guys, this site left column under Market Place click on Classified Ads. There is a person by the name of Scott lives in Halifax, Pa. he is always advertising he has plow parts for almost all makes. I have never bought from him nor have I heard anything good or bad. Just a place to start. Richard
