Hey Elvin. What does she mean junk.I used my grandfathers for years looking worse than that. Nom that I inherited it I can work on polishing up the diamond I know she is.

Elvin, It looks GREAT!!!!! Their are some real talented people on this board they are a big help.Once your wife sees the end results it wont be junk, my wife said the same thing now she doesnt know how we did without the Ferguson. They are great little workers we use it to do everything except cut grass. I look forward to more photos and progress reports. John

Anytime you buy a Fergy that the Missus says looks like junk - you've probably got extra good value!!!

Hi Elvin, looks good , I brought one home last year that looked very troubled, rims rusted off, painted "RED". My wife said hat a pile of junk, anway it is starting to take shape and in my mind look pretty nice. Once I learn how to post pictures, will show the /52 TE Ferguson, before and after. I did miss out on some sheet metal parts at an auction last spring, the pallet load went for $15.00, while I went to get something to eat, always next time for the auctions. Cheers, Murray

Bill is on the money - a new hood is very expensive. You can buy the grilles and "T" piece for around $200 and either knock out the ding yourself, or I guess it would not cost too much to have a body shop pull out the ding for you.

I had a small ding in the front of my hood and I gave the body shop apprentice a crate of beer to pull the ding out one weekend. He did a great job - and I got to share his crate of beer!!!

Either way, it will be far less than the cost of a new hood!

Hey!!!! that was one lol, it is a 1954 TO-30 if my memory serves me right, i neglected to jot the serial numbers off of it, my father has a 40 model 9n, I hope i like this fergy as much as i do that tractor. How hard is it to find a good hood???

To your question about how hard it is to find a hood. It is as hard as you are willing to pay. The hood can be bought brand new from Sparex.

So, if you are willing to pay for a new one, then you can have it easily. If you want to pay less, then I am sure you can find one, but it gets harder and harder the further down the money scale you go. Your old one should be possible to repair too. It is possible to buy the grille and T-piece in the front separately.
