My TO30 has a skip when idoling and at full speed but under a load it levels out and run perfect any ideas

Are you on 6 or 12 volt? Mine used to be that way untill I went to alternator and 12 volt coil. The skip had nothing to do with carburation on mine.

it may be running to rich if it stops missing under load,try adjusting the carb and see if that helps

Thanks I just rebuilt the carb and played with it for a while cant seem to get it right do you know what the settings shuold be ?

In my experience this is usual. The carb should be adjusted for the best performance under load. Adjusted properly the engine will need a richer fuel mixture under load to help cool the valves and combustion chamber. I would leave the power mixture alone, and adjust the idling air screw only. The only thing that can happen is carboning of the spark plugs and combustion chamber with prolonged idling. You may consider adding a good fuel system/carb cleaner to the gas tank before next filling. The gas we are forced to use today goes bad in just a few weeks, gumming and varnishing the jets,valves,seats and the entire fuel system in general. Once I got the proper carb settings, this was the only problem I've had in 11yrs. My 2 cents

There are two adjusting Screws on the Carb one has a screwdriver slot, the other can be turned with fingers which is which and where is a good initial starting place for both of these screws?
