Switching TEO-20 onto a TO-30?

I have two tractors, a TO-30 with a good engine but it has problems with a Sherman transmission and axle. I have a TEO-20 that everything is good except the engine. I would like to merge the two; will the engine from the 30 directly bolt onto the transmission of my 20? I want to use everything from the transmission back from the 20, any recommendations?
Thanks, Paul in Oregon

Paul, as to the swap go ahead and do it because they will work. Did one that way a few years ago with no problems. Don't think any linkage was different either. Any problems you can e-mail for my phone number as i live in Ore

Don't know if it will work, but if you do make it work, I sure would be interested in the left over Sherman.

Paul

I think may you need to clarify whether you have a TO20 (Continental engine, made in the USA) or a TE20 (Continental engine, made in the UK). There is not a "TEO20" Ferguson tractor.

I suspect the TE20 or TO20 probably will match to the TO30's Z129 Continental engine, but some of the guys on this forum from the USA should be able to confirm.

The transmission cases have the same part number, which suggests they will inter change. I think I've heard and seen this done.
