I have the Pertronics system and coild in both my Ferguson TEA20 and Jaguar XKE/E Type.

Both the Fergy and Jag start within one revolution of the crank, idle and rev smoothly.

By far the very best automotice investments I ever made!!!!

I have a Pertronix unit in my TO-30 and I"m real happy with it. Starts easy and no maintenance. They"re around $90-$100.

I found that the part numbers given aren't always right. A tractor dealership had the wrong one listed, and even the Pertronix web site didn't have the number for mine. Mine has a Delco dist. number 1112570, which isn't listed in the on line catalogue.
I called Pertonix direct and they gave me the right number, 1143. Genesee also had the right number, and that's who I bought from.
It starts and runs like a champ. I didn't expect a lot of difference, just no more point trouble, but I was surprised that it actually runs better with it.
Also, remember there is a pipe plug with a screw top on the bottom of the large part of the distributor body that is for lubricating the dist. shaft. Just remove it and shoot some motor oil in there. You might have to turn the dist. to find it. I do it once a year.

The 1112570 Dist is used on MF 202,4,MF50, TO 35 and I think TO 20-30,35 and MH 50. The points, rotor and cap are the same in some IH with after market Delco dist. and A-C, Oliver and others. Funny they could not find a kit for you. The electronic ign. really help dist. with worn bushings.

Duner, they did have a kit for me, #1143. I just had to call Pertronix on the phone, and Genesee had them too.

when you go to electronic be sure to specify if your rotor button turns clockwise,or counterclockwise.the way I found out was it was listed as clockwise and mine was counterclockwise.
