Got the "50 TO-20 with the Howard and Hupp going together...Had lots of fun with the transmission that didn"t want to pick up reverse and then the Hupp that the slider was out of position. This is getting to be something else. Put the lower steering box together and filled it with 9&1/2 tubes of corn head grease. That should be a good test of seal integrity come August. About this time I look at the engine and decide it needs to get into position and the front axle to properly index the steering wheel to the column so it all lines up. Time to play with the engine. Test fit the new sleeves into the block to make sure they all slid down and set nearly flat on the deck. One of the long head bolts is buggered up and I am looking for a replacement. Any suggestions?

Doubt ur gonna find some long studs - they are all gone from what I found out when I bought the last ones.
Id try arp racing fasteners and get some .

If not I have a few that you can have.

You should have studs holding the head tothe block not polts. You might try a salvage yard or try www.montesequipment,com. They specialize in Continental parts
