STEVE.
Never happened to me but there have been a number of threads in this forum on sticking clutches and "cures".
I think it is usually the result of the tractor sitting idle for long periods, don't think it happens when the tratcor is being used - unless you've broken the forks or clutch throw out bearing.

You sure it is not pedal adjustment - make sure the pedal has not slipped on the shaft?

Steve.
    1. Undo the two studs to remove the gear level.
    2. Take all load off the transmission (i.e. push in the clutch).
    3. With a screwdriver or similar, gently move which ever of the three selector rods is not aligned, so the center slot lines up across the tractor.



When done, it should look like this:

I am very new to the 20-85, but my suggestion, would be to remove any weight from the 3 point hitch and hopefully the tractor is on level ground and engage the clutch. If stuck on a slope, you will have to rock the tractor back and forth while engaging the clutch..... good luck....Alex

Do an archive search. This question has been answered before. You have to take filler cap off an pry the gear back with a large screwdriver.
