TO-30 Firing order: 1-4-3-2
Valves: 0.015" cold, 0.013" hot, running

I'm not positive, but isn't it 1-3-4-2?
I thought it was counter clockwise around the distributor. I really am not positive, just don't want this fella to wire his distributor wrong.

You are correct, Mark. It is 1-3-4-2. That"s what I get for trusting my memory! I checked my manual this time. Sorry for any inconvenience it might has caused.

1-4-3-2 is correct Mark. You are correct that it is CCW.

My dad taught me to replace the distributer so that the upper left is always plug wire #1.
Then it easy to remember, like reading a book.
top row-left to right= #1 and #2
bottom row, left-right #3 and #4.
As I picture this in a circle (like distributer cap) and start at #1 and follow the circle around CCW, Its easy to see the order of the fire.
I have bought tractors with distributor just set in there. One of the first things I do is pull distributer and reset the way I can remember.

I wish my dad was still around, he would have a blast answering most of these questions.
