I own a small grey ferguson from the 50's. I found a number on the engine which reads S78405E. Can anyone tell me the year and model. Thank you..

Herb:
If you can find a serial number on the factory ID plate, I could give you the information that you want. The ID plate should be located on the instrument panel near the steering column, usually on the left side. If you do not have a plate (either it was removed or defaced) then you will need someone familiar with the engine codes. Please email me with your findings, and I will reply promptly.

JIM Thanks for your reply. The tag is on the steering panel but is disfigured. Again, thanks for your help and hopefully I will find it's year.
