I had my starter rebuilt August of last year, but as of 2 days ago it won't engage, it just spins. Does this mean I got a bad rebuild and it needs to be redone? Or is there another problem I'm overlooking? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, Clark, when I have battery probs I have to use a Ford F-150 to pull-start my TE-20.
Bu seriously, maybe the bendix is jammed somehow, preventing the pinion from popping out to engage the flywheel teeth. Should be an easy look-see check. Good luck, and be sure to post back what you find out -- that's how we all learn! Tex

Sometimes the flywheel teeth can be so worn that the starter will not engage at a particular spot try moving the tractor in gear this will move the flywheel and the teeth may engage again. If you have to put new ring gear on the flywheel you have to split the tractor. regards
