I have a 1953 TEA 2085 and I would like to fabricate a front snow blade. I would appreciate it if someone could explain the proper way to attach one (with pictures if possible). At present I am using a rear blade but I have another blade that I could use to build a front blade. It doesn't need to have hydraulics or anything fancy, just need to be able to lift it.
Thanks in advance. BCJohn

Hi John.
I built one for the front end of my 1952 TEA-2085 and it works perfectly. I use a 12 volt winch to raise and lower it, as well I used an old set of front mounts off a ferguson manure loader as my mounting brackets. This ferguson manure loader was usless to me. I think there are picture under parts and pieces of this. If not I will forward them to you. Barry

I have one mouned on a sears manure loader on a TO 20 and one mounted on a F 40 with a Freeman loader. On both I substituted a 7 foot blade from an old pickup snowplow. You should be able to find one of those old loaders for a couple hundred bucks and less than that for the blade. One advantage to using the loader you can pile the snow really high. It"s pretty simple to fabricate an attachment for the blade vice the bucket.I haven"t used the one on the 49 sears roebuck loader yet but I will tomorrow we just got dumped on here in N. Wisconsin

If you will go up in the right top corner of this site where it says SEARCH and type in front snow blade you should get a lot of posts that have talked about that in the past. There was one that I was trying to get you to look at it was on a 8N and it had a myers snow plow hooked on the front just like pick up trucks have and it had a 12 volt winch to raise and lower it. It looked like it was factory made. That one was really nice. I got so interested reading about others I can't find that one again. Sorry

I'm with John in B.C. I'd like to find some plans to build a front end blade for my 1951 TO-30. The rear blade I have is nice (better than scooping by hand), but a front end blade would be soooo nice. I have my email open.
