my pilot bearing has been scoured and burnt by the edge of the clutch plate rubbing on it; wondering if someone used the wrong parts? anyway, I wish to replace all the components & resurface flywheel. I see that there are two clutch discs on the catalog page; what's up with that?

BTW, Farmland Tractor did the furnace brazing to repair the cracked block, and the turn around was faster than I expected. I'm excited to have it back up and running soon!

My two cents worth: I bought a six spring disk (1 3/8 ID) online and took it with my broken cover and pressure plate to a commercial shop I've used several times and they assembled the unit and told me the disk was obviously a one-size-fits-all that was too thick to allow the unit to fully disengage. They measured it and said it was about the same as the 9 inch Ford clutch. Bottom line - I bought a Ferguson clutch disk from a salvage yard and had it relined and it works great. I could have had the disk ground down but I sold it to a friend for his Ford - worked great for him.

The discs that I sell are solid center woven or a 4 pad but there is also 2 different spline sizes. I can"t tell what the splines are by the pictures you posted. Hope this helps.

I don't know but I assume that you are working on a TO 20. The first clutch disc listed on the web page is for a 1.25" shaft with 10 splines, the second is for a 1 3/8" shaft with 10 splines. Check the size of the shaft to determine which is the correct one. As for the damage to the pilot bearing, I would suspect that the original disc was either installed backward, or the wrong disc was used. I hope that you have a good service manual such as an IT Manual, if so it will have complete instructions on assembly of the clutch unit. Good Luck

which plate came out ? plates are usually marked flywheel side,i believe the disc with the six springs is common.
