New Grill from Nolts question...

Can anyone who has ordered a new grill for a TO20/TO30 from Nolts tell me how the quality was? I ordered one and there is a crack down on the lower edge and the bottom area below the louvers is kinda wavy. Just want to know if such imperfections are to be expected or should it be better? How was yours?

i've bought things from a used engine block to wheel weights from NOLT's. BE CAREFUL! i would not buy "sight-unseen" from them.

I bought one a couple months ago. I didn't notice any waviness. There may have been some minor cracks at the ends of the louvers as someone else mentioned. I also noticed some tool marks at the ends of the louver opening that weren't on the old one. But, I felt they were all negligible. I'm happy with it. Nolts sells them for much less that what I found on other web sites or the new ones I saw on Ebay and I have no reason to think the quality of those will be any better.

If you are unhappy with it then contact the manufacturer. For the price they charge, you should not be getting an inferior product.

I plan on giving them a call on monday, can"t get to it until then. We will see what they say. I just wanted to see what others had experienced.

I purchased a grill from Nolt's about six month ago there were some cracks around the hand crank extrusion hole and around a few of the louver ends, none of the cracks were completely through the material or would show on the exterior of the grill.
I design stamping dies for a living the crack are most likely from the poor material quality or forming in the same direction the material was peirced. I felt that the grill is not a structual component and the cracks would not not harm the grill. I hope this helps
