The footplate's shown by Bob (Aus) are the genuine ones supplied by Coventry but it is possible that some of the TE series tractors were fitted with USA manufactured ones when they got over to the USA before they were delivered to the original customer. Not all I have seen are the UK ones, even on late model Tractors supplied to Canada.John

Floor boards were an option for the TE tractors. Yours are home made. I also have diamond plate foot plates. I would be interesting in hearing more.

I bought a used right board in OK condition complete with heat shield for my TO-35 which I didn't end up using as the curl was in the "wrong" direction, hence my note. The actual floorboard itself is identical to what was on my machine, definitely not aftermarket.

The photo is an after market right hand running board, however my TEA20 has the original Ferguson running boards and they are identical to the photo - they curl forward over the footpegs.

The boards for TO-20s are slightly different than the boards for TO-35s. The 35s curl over the top of the footpeg like the illustration above, the 20's curl in the opposite direction. I think. Is that right?

My dad had a 1948 Te20 the foot plates were a diamond plate thay were not like the To20 and the turning brake used different pads also thay were aluminum . The Te 20 was a better tractor.

Do you still have access to the tractor? What part of the country was it in? I also have diamond plate foot plates. They look too good to be homemade, however, they may be. However, if there are several others then they could be a) origonal for the TE-20's or of local manufacture like the bumpers. I'll try to get picts of mine.
