TO30 Airfilter assembly?

I recently bought a replacement airfilter assembly from a very good antique tractor parts company and when it arrived I only received the round can type canister and bottom that has the area for putting oil. I called to tell them I only got half of the assembly and they told me thats all there was that a tube went to the dash where there is a air inlet. I have the old one and it is all metal and the top fits the air intake on the dash. Is anyone familiar with this or was this someones creativity? Also is there a dry filter that would fit in place of the original top of the assembly? Thanks for any help.

The picture (if it works) is from the parts manual. The assembly on the right is for a TO-30 and the one on the left is for a TO-20.
Hope this helps.

Hi Thanks for the reply. What you sent me is what the tractor parts place said was supposed to be on there except I didnt have a pic from them and didnt understand what they were talking about so I appreciate what you sent. The one I am trying to replace is quite different. It has the top like that except no hose. Its another metal filter and a metal piece that fits into the dash. I tried to get it off the top of the old canister but it wouldnt budge and I was afraid I would damage it beyond repair.I think I will just get a regular paper filter that will fit the top and if I ever sell it Ill give them the old assembly and let them worry about it :) Thanks again
