Polarizeing generator question that maybe I should know: I keep read "momentarily jump battery to generator armature terminal" but is that positive or negative terminal on battery? Thanks Gene

it depends on what your tractor is, take the wiring harness leads off the generator and then attach a lead to the large terminal on the Generator and then just wipe the other end of the lead across the battery terminal that ISN'T the ground terminal, once it just shows a little spark and that is it done.
