Sorry for the silly question but I have a Lucas generator on the TE20 and am in the process of restoring the wiring. I'm using the voltage regulator for the TO20. My question, which terminal on the Lucas generator is the field and which is the armature. I can't find it in print and don't want to take the generator apart to find out. Mine has large terminal on the endplate (I'm assuming this is the armature connection) and a post sticking out of the side of the case (field connection?)Just need confirmation so I don't burn something up! Thanks!

There are wiring diagrams available at the FENA site.

Since the TE generator is a Lucas and the TO is sure to be a Delco, are you sure the fields are wired the same? Odds are they are not so the Delco regulator won't make the Lucas generator charge. You could have better luck with a Lucas regulator.
