I have purchased a "49 T020 to restore. Have found most of the parts I need except an orignal type bumper. Can find several after markets that will fit but none I have found so far are shaped like the original rounded bumper. Can anyone help?

Allis bb says you have a rare 4x4. Is this true? Got any pictures? By the way, I'm in Clark County, where are you, if you don't mind my asking? That rounded bumper sounds like a scarce commodity.

Don't know what Allis bb is basing his assumption that my TO 20 is a 4X4---also didn't know there were any made. My 20 is a straight little 2w/d tractor that according to the serial # is a late '49 model. My Dad bought a '49 new that he had when I was a kid. Found this one in Hart Co. KY and want to restore it because it is like the one Dad had. The bumper on the one Dad had was a rounded, drop down style. Have seen this type on lots of 30's also. Just haven't been able to locate one. By the way, I'm in Glasgow, Barren Co

Doug,

Bumpers were not origonal equipment. They were put on by the dealers. Thus different regions will have different basic styles.

In the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana area I have seen this style drop down bumper very often for the late 40's early 50's time frame tractors. This is the type I also have on my '48 TE20.

The rounded front may be a more english style bumper, or early 9N style.

Does the bumper fold down? It looks like it is fixed. I would like to know where I could find a fold down bumper for m 1948 TE 20. A picture would be great as I could build one. Thank you
