Tractor ride. OT

Anyhow, It was a great ride on my TO-20 with an overdrive, really scenic.

Sadly can"t do that here in Australia. Almost impossible to road register a Ferguson tractor as it can"t meet the minimum roadworthy standards.

I have a Sherman overdrive in my 20 which allows me to run in the fast group (18mph). The next group is 15 mph and the last group is all the rest (12 and slower).

I really feel bad for you not being able to do a ride. Its probably because of no open spaces. (grin)
Maybe you can petition your leaders to allow something like that. Goodness knows though, that if the leaders of any government thought you were going to have some fun, they'd be against it. Too many people behind desks making rules for the common folk!! They just want you to stay at home and work and pay your taxes!!!

Road tirps on old tractors are gaining a lot of popularity here. WHO radio out of Chigago prpbally sponcers one of the largest with over 300 participants.

Each state may be different here, but in Ohio tractors are classified as agricultural equipment (for obvious reasons) and thus do not require registration. Only requirement to drive on the roads here in daylight hours is a SMV (Slow Moving Vehicle) sign. (See picture) For the hours of 1/2 hour after sunset to 1/2 hour before sunrise there are lighting requirements that most old tractors do not meet. (but could be retrofitted)

Ag equipment is not allowed on our inter-state freeway system.

These old tractor rides are a lot of fun.
