My generator has quit and I was thinking of changing to an alternator. My tach connects to the rear of the generator. Is there an alternator conversion that has a tach connection?

A Generator is a very dependable item,What happens (usally) is the brushes wear down, and wear out after alot of use, It is a very easy fix, Take it to a repair shop that can fix it,or do it very easily yourself, remember many mid-late fiftys GM cars used this generator,so parts are everywhere. It would save you alot of parts hunting for the Tach-drive. I still have the original Generator on my TO-35 and it works great to this day. Gregg/Dayton,O.

Hi Gregg in Ohio. I have a TO35 that needs the generator rebuilt. Where did you get the kit to do that?
