I have a TO-30 that I bought in 1991 and used till 99, got divorced and parked it. It needed a rebuild then however the bearings were all still good, no knocks and good oil pressure, just smoked. It had excellent hydraulics. I am trying to decide whether to sell as is or restore. I just finished a ford 860 and have a running 9N to do next. I know about fords but not this one. what is the value as is or parted and what would it be worth restored? thanks

"Restored" is one thing; rebuilt engine but otherwise "as is" is another. And of course as it currently is, smoking, is still another. Going in reverse order, if it is driveable and usable now, but just spraying for mosquitos, it might be worth $1000 or so. Rebuilt engine maybe $2500 if done right. Restored maybe $3000, again if done right. Depends on area of country, etc., etc. Parts tractors are generally about $500.

Hi Mike, I don't believe these tractors greatly increase in value any more than the "N" series tractors. It's all in the eyes of the owner, the Ferguson's are a nice tractor. I purchased one last winter and am slowly restoring. I think I could get to like the Ferguson better than the 8n. These tractors are very similar, many parts are interchangable, you can't go wrong by restoring this tractor. Many people think that a restored "N" series tractor is worth a mint, thats not really true, there is a top value and nobody is going to pay more. Cheers, Murray
