Sure Seals Hub Gaskets

I"m ready to order sure seals through this web site. The sure seals were easy to find but I would like to order the axle gaskets to. Have any of you found a part number on this site? I"m not very good at making gaskets.

I can't see one on this site either, you could try a Sparex parts dealer, the part number is S42622 and you need one either side of the brake back plate. If you don't know who sells Sparex parts, email [email protected] tell them where you are and they will let you know who is nearest dealer.

I just installed sure-seals on our 2N Ford, and I believe they are the same or very similar. I had to make the gaskets, fortunately, one of the old gaskets came off in one piece. I had not installed sure-seals before, but someonw suggested to taper the outer edge of the seal slightly to make them start in easier. This was a good suggestion. Also, I had a bright idea on making a seal installer. (At least I thought so) I took a piece of 3 inch PVC pipe, 30 inches long, and slid it down over the axle against the seal. Makes it easy to keep the seal straight. Placed a block of wood on the end of the pipe and tapped it with a 2 pound hammer to get it started. Then tapped harder until the seal was down flush with the hub part. Worked so well, it scared me. Have Fun!!
