Can anyone tell me what wires are connected to the inverted starter switch located on top of the transmission on a 1950 T0-20? Also, need to know what wires are connected to the key switch.

Chris, The brake petal on the right front is the petal for stopping the tractor's forward or reward movement. The right and left petals attached at the back are used when making slow, sharp turns to the right or left.

Go to www.fergusonenthusiasts.com and ohave OEM system (6V, positive ground).The battery negative terminl goes to one side of the switch and the cable to the starter goes to the other side of the switch. On the battery side of the switch, there is a wire to battery tab (B) of the voltage regulator.

What actually eggages the starter itself to start the engine?

On the top of the transmission case at the upper right is the letter "S". That stands for starter. The tractor is equipped with a safe starter sytem that will not allow you to start in gear and potentially get run over. You move the shift lever to that position and the shift rail presses on the starter switch in the top of the bell housing and it provides te connection toactuate the starter.

Thanks that helps alot. One more question. My T0-20 has a brake pedal on the right side only. But, it has two pedals ( one on either side) toward the rear of the tractor. When I press down on the right side front pedal the two rear pedals move up???
