I have just bought a 1 bottom plow from TSC and in order to get the hitch pins turned around I had to slide the bar that the pins bolt to over does the bar need to go back where it was or do I need to plow a little to to find the right point, for it? thanks for any help

yes but when I put it on the tractor it did not line up with the third arm where they had it so I lined it up with the third arm. tha picture you have has the pins in the right position mine was turned inward maybe to discourage theft.

I hesitate to suggest this, but I would throw it back in the truck and see if you can get your money back . Take a look at the link for a ford 101 plow Notice yours has no coulters, on the 101, the beam of the plow is off to the right of the 3rd arm
position, doesn't look like its possible to get the
beam on yours off to the right of the 3rd arm. There
doesn't appear to be an adjustment for the angle of
attack on your plow as the other poster suggested.
Since you posted on the Ferguson forum, I assume you have probrobly a twenty or thirty and this plow will
be nothing but problems for you. If they won't give you your money back maybe you could swap for
another implement. and purchase a old 1 or 2 bottom Ferguson plow at an auction. I tried to post the link with this, but it won't let me.
Send me an Email and I get it to you.

You will notice that the "drawbar" for the plow is cranked at each end, the end nearest the furrow is the lowest side. You turn the "drawbar" or cross-shaft slightly to increase or decrease the width of the furrow. Just turning it slightly will make a big difference when it is working. You will see when you turn it slightly how the front of the plow will start to point in the direction it will be going i.e. wider or narrower. If the plow Cross-shaft is set correctly, the plow will run straight behind the tractor, not to one side. You will need to have the wheels of the Tractor set correctly too, if it is the Ferguson plow 16" D/D it would be 48" on the front and 52" on the rear, then the inside of both wheels would be more or less in line and the tractor would not be tending to run side ways as it would if you had them both set to the same width.
