sorry i dont mean to be rude but i have never seen a harry ferguson tractor before. was he only in bussiness for a couple days? i'm in minnesota and i never seen one. they must not of been that good or they would of been more popular...

Fortunately for us all, his inventions were a mite better than your grammar ....
Herd? Cows, perhaps? I presume you mean heard, but I won"t indulge.
If it is that you"re really unaware of Ferguson tractors - which I doubt, given your insult "only a couple of days" - all one can say is that he invented the modern tractor that every other manufacturer copies today.

oh he does this all the time on the IH board too, he gets bored and starts conversations with nobody and posts like 20 diffrent postings in a matter of 10 minutes ,, then he will be gone for a few days,, just someone who has a lot of time on there hands and likes to stir the pot in my opinion,

I think if you've heard of any tractors,, chances are you have heard of all or most of the tractors,,,

Johnny, Just to inform you Harry Ferguson revelutionized the Ag., tractor indrustry enabling farmers to plow safely! For its size and HP. the ferguson can beat all of the big boys. If you really never heard or have seen a ferguson thats because there still in service on many farms today.

Had 2.91" since 4:00 this afternoon and 2.76" of that was between 4:00 & 6:30. Couple of days ago had .12" and sunday had 1.3". How is it up there?

His models were the TE20, TO20, TO30, TO35, F35, F40Made from 1947 to 1957 When he joined Massey Harris and the company became Massey - Ferguson. Before that he was with Henry Ford in building the 9N, 2N in 1939-1947. He is the person that designed the three point hitch that is on every tractor made today in the world. Made as much advance to the tractor industry as all the other tractor companys. He actually was with David Brown before he became associated with Ford Motor Company. The site is called that so the posters will know the difference to post questions on their instead of the Massey Ferguson site for the 20-30-35-40 tractors.

I take it you don't get out much? Harry built 517,000 TE series tractors and (at a guess) 150,000 TO series tractors, many of which are still going.

Even city slickers should be aware of the Range Rover 4WD SUV? It operates in constant four wheel drive due to its Ferguson Drive System, another of Harry's inventions.

Where are you located. The poster and I am both in the USA and the TE was only brought into the states here for a verry short time till he got the factory up and running to build the TO series so in the USA there are hardly any TE series tractors. Now in the rest of the world the TE was the popular version.

I'm in Australia. I don't think the TO series were ever exported from the USA; I certainly have never seen one in Australia, although there is the rare Ford-Ferguson here.

The rest of the world has the TE series. The original TE20 (Continental engine) never came to Australia so all the Fergies here have Standard engines.
