PTO on MF fertiliser spreader

Seems that the universal joint is missing at the
end of spreader shaft. You will have to find an
adapter which goes over the tractor PTO shaft
and have a bigger male shaft at the other end
I suggest you buy an overrun clutch too
most of tractor dealers have these adaptors in stock.

Be careful! if you are not familar with
PTO attachments it can be very dangerous
just ask to experimented users.

An overrun cluth is a kind of ratchet that
avoid the inertia of the machine you are using with the pto to continue to activate the PTO
which is engaged with transmission gears on a tractor with no live PTO with a separate clutch
for the PTO.

In other words if you use bush hog and have to
stop the tractor...the inertia of the bush hog
mechanism will drive PTO and you cant stop the tractor until the PTO is stopped.

With ORC if you press the clutch the tractor will stop and the machine will continue to turn with
it's inertia but will not drive the PTO because there is a clutch inside.

There are some ORC that are PTO size adapter too
the female end has female for little PTO shaft
and the other end (male side) is big male.
The adapter and ORC may be the same device.
