I am going to replace a toggle switch that I have that turns on the tractor, and then replace a push button that starts it. I bought 20 amp four post starter switch. On the back it has BAT, IGN, ACC, ST. Could someone simply tell me how to wire this in? I have had all the running problems that most people have had with their tractors. Mine did the whole run for a little bit and the shut off like if was running out of gas. Well this is the last thing I can think of to replace. The tractor has the big fat blue spark. Plenty of fuel flow, just going to go back to recheck all my wiring and put this new switch on.

Also, I am going to put a brand new carb on and the screen fitting looks like it has a female fitting for a metal gas line. What do you guys think is better, a metal fuel line or a rubber? Also which is the best route to run the line? Is front of the tractor or behind the tank? I was also wondering about putting a sediment glass bowl coming out of the bottom of the fuel tank, and then the line to the carb. I would rather have over kill to prevent fuel problems.

The tractor when I got it was a mess. It ran and then started doing the stalling thing. So, I switched to a 12volt system, rewired the whole tractor, new carb(about to put on), new gas tank, new raditor, new muffler, new oil pan, new pto shaft, new alt., new coil, new tires, had starter rebuilt, split tractor and replaced starter ring gear, new clutch, crankshaft seals, and that I think is it. All I need now is a complete overhaul.

Sorry to go into all of me repairs when all I need to know was about the switch and fuel line.

BAT goes to the hot leg of your battery, with 12V system, I assume that is positive, that provides power for all the switch functions. IGN goes to the coil, if you have lights, connect the power for the light to the same lead so you can run lights when the engine is ON, but not when the engine is OFF. ST goes to a starter solenoid, has to be a solenoid, not the starter itself or you will burn-up your switch right away. ACC is accessory, not needed.

Fuel line - metal is best if possible, gas bowl is best if possible. That was orig. equip.

Once you get your TE running, if it starts & stalls again, check your spark right when it stalls to insure you still have a good spark. A typical 12V conversion problem is to have the coil wired incorrectly, causing it to overheat and short-out.... causing your engine to stall.
