Hello chaps - just a quick query I wonder if anyone can help us with - on our tractor, we have a dynamo/generator with two plugs on the back. One is fairly obvious, it bolts through a brass stud, but the other one is puzzling me. It looks something like a bayonet connector, but the loom I have only has a ring connector, so does anyone know where I can get one of these connectors from, or shall I just try and fabriate something from a bolt of some sort.

Ta, Matt

That is how the early generators were wired, If you need a plug like that try a Maplins electrical store, they should have something that will fit. You have an early generator on a later harness, thats all.

Both leads go to the regulator. Bayonet connector? Should be spade connectors. Non standard generator?

Hi Bob - sorry, should have mentioned, ours is a 6v tractor, and has what looks like a fairly standard Lucas (I think) generator.

I've attached a link (if it works!!) The connector I'm after is the one with the green wire.

Cheers, Matt
