well i finally found the time, and got brave enuf to try brazing up my cracked carb, and it looks like i might have messed up and did it right. i know it had to be accidental that it seems to be holding, it sure ain't cuz of my great skills with a torch. but now i want to replace the inlet fitting that hold that "secret screen". is this a part i can find anywhere or is it something i'm going to have to go searchin' for? in other words...does anyone know where i can get one?

thanxs, mike

thanks george and jerry. i'll be headin' inta town to find one. gotta get this done and get my shop cleared out for some other projects in the works. its been a busy spring here with haying and lots of equipment breakdowns...the baler several times, and the big tractor once. my little TO-35 performed like the little champ it is tho. it raked every winrow without a burb. fergies rule!

Mike, I picked one up at TSC for a couple bucks a while back. Of course it was labeled as a screen fitting for a Ford N, not a Fergy. Same part though.

George

Mike,
You can find them at equipmewnt dealers and NAPA. I even found them once at Home Depot. I think this site offers them. For the TO-30 the part number is 1 751 212 M91 and I believe it fits all the small Marvel-Schebler carbs as well as the 9N & 2N Fords.
