If you had a between a 1949 TO-20 and a 1951 Ford 8N which would you pick ? The 8N has the Sherman transmission and the TO-20 in sharp. I guess I want to know which is the better tractor and why ? Can someone tell me the horsepower for both tractors ? I have a 6' Woods mower that I would use one of these tractors for and I cut a little firewood. Which is better ?? Need some help !!

I collect and use both tractors but there is little doubt that the little grey Fergie is by far the best except for parts availabity....

I love them both....

Late 8N's had hour meter / tach. - makes keeping PTO at a steady 540 easier. All 8N's had position control - Hold mower steadier. Both are about 20 HP. Ferg. has a slightly peppyer eigine. Niether will like a 6' mower - 5' would be a better choice. Just my thoughts. I have a T
