I have a bush hog 2615 mower. When you raise the mower the left side sticks and won"t come down. I can pull the side down with another tractor. I have tried putting grease on the shaft. Nothing seems to help. It will go up on it"s own but I just can"t get it to come down. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Have you tightened the screws in the end of the cross-shaft under the seat, slacken them and re-lock them with the lock tab. If that is free, it looks like the cross-shaft is partially seized in the Hydraulic Top Cover and to free it off it will require stripping down and cleaning. You can't get grease into the bushes on the shaft so it will be the inner end that is causing the problem. If you need info on how to do this, email me at:- fergusontractors@tiscali.co.uk
tell me again what you need and what the tractor model is and I will send you the info to do the work.....John
