Oil pressure

I have a tea 20 that has very low oil pressure when the engine is hot. So far i have replaced the oil pump, rod bearings and even have tried running 50 weight oil. The clearance on the main bearings are all under 3 thou. After working the motor hard for about an hour the oil pressure is only about 10 -15 psi. I also have another tea 20 that will keep over 40 psi doing the same work with lighter oil. The strange part is that when the motor is cold it will produce over 80 psi. Anyone have any ideas?

Woodley, Is there a possibility that the pressure relief valve located on the filter housing could be the problem. Maybe swap the spring and ball check with your other TEA. See if the pressure improves. Maybe the spring is weak and tension changes as it heats up. Seems basic and I'm sure you have thought of it but it may be worth a try.
I had a similar problem and it was the relief valve. Please let me know if you do find a definite answer.

thanks for the idea, since I'm in northern ontario I'll probaly not get a chance to try this untill spring but seems worth checking out.
