I have a to-30 backhoe the other day I was digging a hole and the water hose busted .I did not see it intill it got over heated. Now I have water in the oil.I have read some discussion on the page adout this topic and it seems to me that everybody ends up with a cracked block .Is this common for a to-30 to crack a block when it over heats and not warp the head.

We over heated a to 30 and it was a warped head. Put a straight edge front to back to check yours out. Be sure to remove the thermostat gasket when you have it planed. We squared it up and it worked fine.

If I was to guess, I'd say the head would be more likely to warp first based on other engines I've done over. I ohauled my TO-30 several years ago and fortunately I haven't had a problem with either head or cracked blocks - yet.
