I guess the third time is a charm. Start up # 2 had no pressure due to missing oil galley plugs left out by the machine shop. Pulled the motor and tore it apart again and found the missing plug was behind the cam and no damage to the bearings.

Another set of gaskets from NC and voila she's running. I still have a little bounce to the oil pressure of about 2-3 lbs. I changed the oil pressure gauge and same result. 30 lbs cold and 15-20 or so hot idling like after an hour of running and shes really warmed up including the oil pan etc. Not exacty the numbers I expected warm but much better than the first time where I had 15-20 lb bounce cold and no oil pressure after 15 hours on the motor. I've had the bock line bored and the rods re bored so I'm not sure what else could have done

Overall I'm happy to have it back together. For what it's worth I won't be mixing motor parts any more unless I absolutely have to. And if you mix oil pumps or main caps HAVE THE BLOCK LINE BORED!

Make sure that your oil pressure relief valve is correctly adjusted and you won't get the hot to cold variation that you're seeing. My TO-30 holds pressure at 27 psi hot or cold and it has about 200 hours on the motor.
