Hi I have a 1949 TO 20, I pulled the motor apart and it was cracked 3 places top and bottom. I have searched high and low for a block. I can't find one. I wanted to know if a 9n/8n or 2n motor has same bolt pattern as z120, or if anyone makes a conversion kit to install a z134
thanks

Just about anything can be made to boltup with lots of dollars and time... But as already said, the best bang for the buck is to fix your own... Any used block that will bolt up (only a Z120 or Z129) will likely have the same issues. Z134s (and Z145s) share a lot of internal parts with the Z120 and Z129, but the engine mounting flange is entirely different.... Jim

I have 2 Fords and a Ferg and owned another Ferg, the Ford block is not going to bolt up. Maybe with a machined adaptor plate and signigant work but its not going to be easy

I don't know about conversion kits but your block can be repaired by a furnace brazing process and be as good as new. Or you can exchange it for a furnace brazed block. They are comparable in cost to a good used block and have the added advantage of being stress relieved in the process and then align bored. Check around the machine shops in your area.

Heed Jerry's advice. In the years to come your tractor will be worth far more than it will with a non standard engine.

You would have a better engine by repairing your own and installing a new engine kit - very reasonably priced - than buying someone else's problems.

Besides, a non standard engine may void the warranty!! :-)
