I need some help rewiring my tractor. The wiring has gone to pot and its a mess. I have had a couple of people who have offered advice but their knowledge is not much better than mine, So we have about enough knowledge to be dangerous. So if there is some omne out there who can help me I need your help ASAP. I dont have much left omn top of my head and the wife is getting tired of patching the drywall.

I know there's sticker shock at Walt's prices. I found another site, and maybe you can find a better price for what you want there...

There is also a wiring diagram in the Ferguson Shop manual. Shop manuals are available as reprints. Might be a good thing to have anyway.

Here is a link to wiring diagrams. I don�t like constantly fixing old wiring so on both my TO20 and TO30, I stripped all the wiring out and started over with new wire and connectors. I soldered all connections and covered them with heat shrink tubing. Also make sure you have a good ground connection to the battery. If you have a 6 volt system, make sure you have BIG battery cables (I think they should be 1 gauge or 1/0 gauge). My wiring doesn�t look original like a ready made wiring harness might, but its neat and I have not had to touch the electrical system on my 20 for 6 years now. Even the six volt battery I put in is still going strong and the tractor sometimes sits for a month between uses. If your wiring is old, sometimes starting over is the best way to go.

Dan - Ive got my the original wiring harness out of my TO 30 while getting it ready for paint, and was thinking about replacing it. I read with interest your reply and wanted to ask if there are aftermarket harnesses available? I could make one, but would like to price an already assembled aftermarket one if they exist.

I actualy never looked for a harness so I couldn't tell you if they are available. I had all the wire and connectors on hand I needed so I just wired it up.

I just looked in the parts availble on this site and didn't see one. Maybe Sparex has one?

I need a complete wiring digram that is clear and concise all i have been able to get are hit and miss pencil drawings. I appreciate them but they dont help me much. I need a wiring for dummies diagram and i admit that
