My Dad and I just purchased this tractor. We got it from the original owners son. I just got the carb rebuilt and put in new gas in the tank. The thing started on the first try. Two new rear ag tires and two peice wheels were installed added. It runs really good. It also came with a 5 1/2' box blade. The "pto" ,I guess thats what its called, raises and drops. No rust and all tin is in nice shape.
We now have "tractor fever" for our 3 acers. The BIG question is do we keep it or sell it for a new MF 1528 4WD. My Dad wants a front loader. Need advice.

Are you sure that you didn't mistype the serial number? With that serial number it's a TO-20. The TO-30's are TO 60001 to ~ TO 140000.

I believe you are correct. It appears to be a TO 20. The eng. cast has a Z120A-600. Rear axel has HF TO 4013-A


Is this a keeper or sell it and get a new one?

Looks like a keeper to me but only you and your dad can decide that. I have a '54 TO-30 and use it regularly on my ranch to haul my irrigation pipe, drag the pasture, plow snow, spray, etc. I also have a Ford 4610 with a loader that I use to feed the cattle with and do the heavy lifting. if it runs well it makes for a handy machie to have for acreage.

Want advise.

Keep this one for mowing, grading and other od jobs, get the newer one for the loader. Loaders can be a pain when the particular job doesn't call for need one.

From the Serial Number it is a 1950 model.
