Has anyone ever tried a car type muffler on a 35 with the Z134? What car was it made for, and did it work ok?
Was the power any lower?
Was it much quieter?

Randy, Why wouldn't you use the proper exhaust system? I called the MF dealer and he told me $50 for the system. I also called a local tractor repair guy working out of his barn. He said $36.00 and he had 1 in stock. Horizontal system. 1955 TO35. Been working to get this tractor into good reliable working order. I have to dive into the replacement of the thermostat next. Which I beleive was removed a long time ago. I am wondering if having the thermostat in will enhance the performance.

Any how. Good luck and have fun. John

Hi John. I do use the stock system. Always have. But it is a little noisy since there isn't much muffling going on. The muffler is a lot like a straight pipe. It's just an idea I've been tossing around because I like quiet running engines.
