Hello, Need to change the thermostat on my 1955 TO35. Have not yet removed it and thought one of the fine people here could direct me to a cross reference automotive part. Looks like a automotive part in the picture shown on the "parts" page of this site. Thanks for the help, AGAIN. PS: I put the horizontal exhaust on. All went well with a little "knock er loose" penetrating oil.

Hello, I went to a car-quest auto parts this morning and the book had "continental engines" listed. Fount the Z134 and had my part! Recommended 160~170 degree thermostat.

John, I don't know an automotive cross reference off hand, but I do know NAPA sells the thermostat you need and should be able to look it up for you in the store. Your thermostat will have a flange which fits against the block, and is not the same thermostat as for a TO-30 which has no flange and slides into the top hose.

Thanks Phil, I'll get the housing off and go in to the NAPA dealer. This is a farming community they will know. I was just wanting to confirm the type. Pioneer sugar is made about 6 miles from our home. Thanks, John
