I posted on the other forum, but thought you guys would be able to help. First, what is the difference between flint grey and silver mist?
A buddy wanted me to ask you guys...he is going to re paint his MF 90 diesel and is worried about getting the right "silver" on the bottom.
I couldn't find any paint code sites that list the MF 90. Any codes, websites, cross references are appreciated. As always, Thanks fella, Mark

Engine , transmission and grill including center piece should be flint metallic grey. Silver mist didn't exist when these tractors were built. Silver mist was first used on the grills of the 135 thru 1150 series tractors. Rims should be painted aluminum not silver mist. I own two 90's , both diesel's , one high-arch and a standard.

Mark:

Surprisingly, flint grey is actually the more silver of the two. The newer silver mist is actually more of a grey.

Flint grey is correct for the cast iron on older MF tractors like my 35. My MF dealer tells me that the silver mist is used on newer models such as the 135.

I'm not sure about the paint code for your friends 90 but I would think that it is contemporary with the 35s. If so, I would think that flint grey would be correct.
