Derick, you should also find a casting number on the side of the block, and it will read Z120 or Z129 or Z134, for the TO-20, 30, and 35's respectively. This is another way to get a clue on the type of tractor you have. The external side oil filter is definitely a Z129 engine. If the filter is in the oil pan, you'll see a round plate on the bottom of the oil pan. Very easy to spot.

I did find the serial numbers I really appreciate the help I hope to get pics put on here soon cause this is a clean little tractor. I could really leave it as is but I think im still going to repaint it. Thanks again for the help.

As John and Mike have said, it's likely you have a TO-20. One thing you may not know about your new tractor (assuming it is a TO-20) is the oil filter is inside the pan. The TO-30 filter is on the right side of the block.

It looks like it is a 1950 TO-20, Not a TO-30.
If you check to the left side of the page you will see a section "Serial Numbers" in the Research and Info section.

hey derick...that serial number tells me that you have a 1950, TO-20. it's not uncommon to find the TO-20's and 30's painted red and having massey ferguson decals on them. is yours red or gray?

the main difference in a TO-20 and a TO-30 is the engine. TO-20's have the Z120, while the 30's have the Z129. the Z129 having a little more HP. there should be an engine data plate on the left side of your block just below the head that you can check also.

the TO-20 is a great little tractor. learn all you can about caring for it and about how to operate it and it will give you lots of service. if you are unfamiliar with tractors let us know, there are many things we can do to help keep your new tractor in tip top condition, and to help keep you safe as well. welcome to the forum.
