John , ed,s post about the tractor fork has me wondering , i broke and changed one a about 10 years back , i mentioned i thought it was made of brass, i have been wondering ever since about that remark and it is driving me crazy , what kind of metal are they made out of, thanks.It is kinda like the song that gets stuck in your head lol.

Ha Ha Ha Yeah I know what you mean about that song thing...it does me too.
The Control Fork is just pressed steel. I have never seen one made from anything else, BUT I have learned not to discount anything with these tractors...lol

Thanks john , it has been driving me crazy ever since, today i tore apart my (never throw anything away shed) and found one half of the old fork, it is a sorta gold colour of something like a bronze look but where it broke it is shiny like a steel.Now that we got that straightened out i can go back to listening to music again, my head is empty for now lol. thanks.
