TO30 tune up advice requested

I've searched the archives and I've got the basic tune up info from the link on the main page. I am wondering if anyone has a Blue Streak (or other good brand) part # for points. It has AC C86 spark plugs in it. I read in the archives that someone suggested Autolite 3116? I seeem to recall that C86 plugs were what I used to run in old Farmalls (same as for a 390 Ford car engine). I just want it to run the best it can. At the risk of starting any arguments, what do you suggest in points and plugs? I've bought points at TSC for my 9N before and they were JUNK. There is a NH dealership not too far away, but that's about it. I was hoping to get what I needed from the local O'Reilly's or Nap. As I mentioned earlier, I'll be cleaning out the fuel system as well.

Just a comment on the tune up page info. I believe it states that the timeing is TDC. Per the Ferguson Shop Manual, the correct tming for the TO-30 is 6o BTDC @ 400 rpm.That's the same value if you set timing statically.
I have questioned the site about this on several occaisions and got no response.

No points to close up in my petrol TEA20!

No condenser to fail either!

No more ignition problems. And with 40KV at the plugs, even the plug gap is not critical.

And in the long term this conversion costs less than your purchase of plugs, points, condensers, not to mention frustration with the old girl!

I have no connection with Pertronics - I'm just a very happy customer!! LOL

Allow me to add my endorsement. My TE 20 starts as soon as I touch the key!
I paid about $93 USD for the Pertronics unit, plus another $30 or so for the matching coil. Well worth it.

I like the Autolite 3116 plugs. They don't seem to foul as easily.

May start something, but I have had excellent service from NGK 1010 plugs. Buy my points and filters exclusively from the Massey dealer. Use Toyota truck condensers (several threads on that choice).
