HI ALL ,ON MY 30 THE REAR HYDRULICS IS VARY VARY SLOW GOING DOWN,IS IT DUE TO THERE IS NOTHING HOOKED UP, I HAVE NOT WENT THROUGH THE FLUIDS YET,I CHECKED THEM IT IS LIKE 90WT MILK ,I GOING TO CHANGE THEM WHEN I GET A CHANCE ,IT GOES UP OK THOUGH, THANKS MARVIN,OPPS SORRY FOR THE CAPS,

As well as what Jerry has said, check that the Cross-shaft that the lift arms are attached to under the seat are not binding. Has anyone tightened the two setscrews on each end for any reason, they need to be just tight enough to hold the arms in place and then lock them with the lock-tabs. Is there a lot of play in the Control Spring at the back of the seat, you should JUST be able to turn it when you have an implement mounted on the tractor and in the raised position with the top link fitted. Any play here alters the Control Valve linkage. If there is a lot of crud in the oil it may be restricting the Holes in the Control Valve Bush, the Pump will have to come out to clean it up. When you lower the lever on the quadrant do the link arms only start to lower when the lever is a long way down the quadrant.

The control valve uncovers the exhaust port on the cylinder and closes the pump supply to lower the 3 pt hitch. Either your control valve is binding ,or your cylinder is binding. you might have a restriction in the exhaust port.You have water in your fluid and that could be causing trash to form and that may be cause of the problem.
