The topic of mounting a 12V alternator to the TO-20 comes up fairly often. Coming up with a mounting bracket is the biggest challenge, and trying to describe how to do this is difficult. So I wanted to post an image of how I worked it out using a bracket that is routinely available on ebay from DB Electrical. This all works out nicely and the alternator pulley lines up well with the pulleys on the engine. Hope this helps others who are faced with this. Questions welcomed.

my 12 volt alt. bracket set up is alot different than yours john mine is just 3 pieces very neatly done. im redoing the T020 and maybe i can learn how to post picture on here and show alot neater appication if anyone interested will have the alt back assembled on tractor in about a week and a half waiting on head to get out of shop so i can paint motor them assemble front of motor

Thanks John, while I'm a 6V guy right now, I've been tempted to convert to 12V several times over. The alternator bracket is one of the reasons I've never made the switch. I printed your picture for my archives.
