Thanks for all the help with all the questions concerning my TO 30. I'm going to post some photos of her when I finally get her out of the garage. I did manage to get her running after a full winter of work, and improvments. I installed a new oil preasure gauge and noticed that I'm getting a lower reading that I expected. I'm running about 25 to 30 psi. What's a normal reading for these tractors? Maybe I should rebuild the oil pump? Otherwise tractors running great. Thanks again guys.
Mick

Mick, your oil pump has a built-in pressure relief valve that limits pressure to 30 psi max. If your warm idle is 15 psi or greater, like Jerry says... your oil pump is in good shape. If you think your oil pressure might be running a bit on the low side, make sure your running straight 30 weight oil. Doesn't sound like you have a problem though.... enjoy that '30!

Normal oil pressure on a remanufactured engine is 25-30 psi. My TO-30 has a remanufactured engine and that's what it has for oil pressure. It doesn't vary anymore than 1 psi when hot. The spec says that with the engine at opearting temperature and running at low idle(400rpm) the pressure should not be less than 15 psi.

Your oil pressure would be classified as very good IF the engine is at lo idle and at operating temperture.
