I'm buying an 8N trip loader for my 2085 ferg. Havent seen the loader yet. I was wondering if any of you's had a picture. I'd like to figure out if the loader bucket could be converted to piston tilt? I know I'm looking at another valve. Some welding, etc, but is it feasable? A picture of an 8N tube loader would give me an idea. Thankyou

Man everybody rips the implements off em up here, cause they say it dont look natural. Maybe not natural but that whole loader/hoe setup is darned pretty. I much like. And I'm positive now more than ever that I can tilt that bucket on that trip loader

If you intend to use a power operated bucket you will need a TWO spool valve to do this, one for the bucket and one for the loader itself, you can't use the Tractor lever for lifting the loader as that has to be in the fully up position all the time to provide power from the Pump. You will also need to prevent the lower link arms of the tractor from lifting the last 6" or it will stop pumping. If you need help on piping the loader up, email me at:-

The spool valve will need to be one double acting and possibly one single acting, this depends on if the loader rams are single or double acting.

I don"t know why it wouldn"t be feasible. I have a tube loader with bucket hydraulics on a TO-30. The loader came off a Ford 8N. It is a Wagner, WM3. However, I am 90 miles from that tractor and not able to get there soon to take any pics for you. Let me say first that you should drive the 8N with the loader on it, or install it on your Fergie and drive it, before you plan to do a lot of work and spend money on it. If you haven"t used one of these loaders on a Fergie (or 8N) you might be a little surprised at how hard it is to steer. As for mine, I just dedicate that tractor to the loader work, nothing else, except maybe scraping the driveway, and use other tractors for everything else. Without power steering, with the loader on it, it just won"t steer good enough to do anything else. Also, be sure your rear tires are loaded and you have a heavy implement on the back, and your front tires are pumped up and in good shape. My two cents.
