I was hoping someone could tell me what resistance I should have on the wires to the glow plugs when I push the glow plug button?

Also if a KLG 2174/1 3.7 volts 36/40 amp resistor is correct for this tractor. And if it should be 6 or 12 volt system.

Thanks.

It doesn't say what the resistance should be in the Service manual, but each Heater Plug is rated at 38 amps. As for the correct resistor, this depends on what the tractor serial number is. Up to 156502 it was KLG.Z. 174/1 - 3.7v 36/40 amps
from tractor 156503 it was KLG.BRQ.1 3.7v 36/42 amps. The two batteries are each 6 volt but they are connected in series to give a 12volt supply. The batteries on this tractor are not standard they are 21 thin plates in a 19 plate case, if you don't have these batteries it can cause starting problems in cold weather.
