I think I need to replace the gaskets on my Zenith T24 carb It leaks 1 drip every 2 seconds from where the butterfly valve is on the air intake and I can see evidence of fuel seeping through most of the gaskets on the carb. The tractor does run but is very hard to start. Possibly where I have fuel getting out I also have air getting in? My TE20 manual does not cover how to Identify all the parts on the carb or how to dissassemble and re assemble and adjust. Any assistance will be greatfully received.

Thank you both very much I was able to free the float but the needle valve must still be leaking. I have ordered a carb kit and when I have it fitted I will hopefully be back with good news. As well as the inevitable questions.

Here is a blow-apart diagram that might help.

If it is leaking as badly as you say it does sound as though the needle valve is not shutting off for some reason, this is located above the float. the cause could be just dirt in the valve or wear. If you email me at:-

I will be able to send you some information about your carb. and pictures that will explain what you need to do. If you email just tell me again what it is doing.....John
